It’s the first rehearsal for Huw’s Piano Trio today. What a privilege to hear a piece for the very first time that has been specially written for us (Leonore Trio). It will be premiered at Presteigne Festival in August. Thanks Huw!
Tim Horton looks forward to giving a solo piano recital at this year’s Presteigne Festival on Tuesday 30th August at 2pm, including three world premieres.
It’s great to be back in the Crucible with the first full festival since 2019. Helen Grime has done an amazing job putting together some of the best programmes I’ve ever been involved in. There’s lots of new music and at least one piece by a female composer in every concert. The audiences are great. I don’t think people are as scared of contemporary music as we’re led to believe, especially if it’s programmed as well as this.
Really looking forward to playing for the North Norfolk Music Festival audience again this Sunday, and to presenting two of Beethoven’s late sonatas alongside the complete cycle of Chopin Predules!
Beethoven Piano Sonata no. 30 in E major, op. 109
Beethoven Piano Sonata no. 31 in A flat major, op. 110
Chopin 24 Preludes, op. 28
I am looking forward to playing Schumann and Henrietta Bosmans with the Leonore Piano Trio on Friday 21st May. Radio 3 live broadcast.
The Leonore Piano Trio are delighted to announce that we will be recording more Piano Trios for Hyperion later this month. The sessions will be taking place at a COVID-secure Henry Wood Hall in London. Watch this space for more information.
Thrilled to be joining the Tashmina Artists roster for General Management, worldwide. The agency will handle all of my work apart from activities involving Ensemble 360 or the Leonore Piano Trio.
